The Studio Summer Ballet 2023

Mamma Mia

 

This summer our theme is “Mamma Mia!” There are 4 different groups of girls, and they will all be performing to a different song. We are wearing all white to channel our “inner ABBA” style, and blue hair pieces to tie in the movies Greek colors. There will be a “finale” song that all groups will get to participate in in addition to their group song! This is going to be a fun summer of learning the basics of ballet in a hybrid style as we incorporate them into a dance to perform to show off what they’ve been working on all summer! 

 

All practices are on Wednesday afternoons. First practice is June 7th, last practice is July 26th. The last practice IS the rehearsal, and it will be held at 3:30-4:30pm at the Yoakum High School Auditorium. It is a closed rehearsal we’re trying to surprise the moms if possible J . All groups need to be there at 3:30pm.

 

GROUP #4 “Slipping Through My Fingers” Practice @ 12:30pm-1:20pm.

GROUP #3 “Dancing Queen” Practice @ 1:30pm-2:20pm.

GROUP #2 “Does Your Mother Know That You’re Out?” Practice @ 2:30-3:20pm.

GROUP #1 “I Have A Dream” Practice @ 3:30-4:15pm.

 

Practice Etiquette: Do not arrive more than 5 minutes early due to another class finishing their practice, and allowing for a safe dismissal to their vehicles. You are welcome to park in the front and walk your child to the back door to drop off and pick up, OR I will dismiss school style and walk each child to the car after practice so you don’t have to get out and we can keep the line moving in the back. If your child is newly potty trained, please have them go potty before coming to class so we don’t have to take potty breaks during class.

 

Practice Attire: Hair pulled back tightly. White leotard. Ballet Shoes.

 

Recital Details:

WHERE- Yoakum High School Auditorium.

WHEN- July 30th @ 3pm. Please have your child there ONLY 30 mins before if you would like them to get professional pictures taken by Alex Pendergrass Photography. There will be photo sheets sent home at rehearsal for purchase.

ATTIRE: White leotard, white tights, hair in ballet bun with hair piece, ballet shoes.

**There will be a quick awards ceremony following the performances.**
